The elders had a saying:
When the skies open wide,
and tears are shed anew...
look to the east,
where she calls us to
After 5,000 years, the rains have returned to Taraz. Far to the east of the conflict of the Qán and the Tarazi lies the distant mines of the Adaghanki Range and the Onataglannar, The Forgotten Ones.
Darkness still lurks around every corner, be it a response to the Qaytish, The Return, the work of the Macabian Cultists, or the Qaytish itself.
The leaders of the Qaytish and the Cult of Ikita have reached an agreement that affords each a sphere of influence not more than the other - leaving the average Tarazi and Qán alike in a state of limbo. Slowly, it’s becoming clear that only the elite will survive on the continent… much like during the cataclysmic event following the disappearance of the Zumrut many millennia before.
A series of mysterious deaths of women along the western slopes of the Fırtına Sıradağları, the Mountains of Storm that separate the coastal lands from the desert wastes of the east, begins to unravel the tenuous truce between the elite factions of both sides.
With their white hair, they appear to be Qán… but their skin is nearly translucent… appearing altogether unworldly. Who is responsible for these deaths? And who are these women?
By the light of the eternal moon™ is the sequel to Under the desert sun™ taking place some number of years after the events of the first game. Conceptualized as a duality story where darkness and the occult feature heavily and cataclysm hangs overhead - By the light of the eternal moon™ will challenge Players to consider moral dilemmas about Otherness, genocide, and complacency in a two-shot dual-story trolley problem TTRPG adventure over the cresting waves of the White Sea, down the back alleys of Kazgar, and on the towering cliffs of Krim.
Playtests will begin in January 2027. Check back soon for the available dates!
